Marigold
Marigold is a derivation of the children’s book “Les Papillons de Victor” in which Melissa, the founder and creative director of Tulisan collaborated with a French writer, Virginie Kasse to do the illustrations for the book. Marigold, also known as Calendula, was chosen to symbolize sacred love and affection, a theme that largely shapes the storyline of “Les Papillons de Victor.”
Handcrafted in small batches, Tulisan products are made using eco-friendly water based dyes while still maintaining rich, intense color. The Marigold collection is silk-screened onto pure, unbleached cotton canvas using a technique that can create slight variations from product to product, making every product a little different. The products are coated with a non-toxic water-resistant coating that is formaldehyde, phthalate and lead free. From start to finish, each Tulisan product is made with love in Indonesia.
